TS 7/13/12: subbing for "The Creaking Hinge"

While Theo and Quill are away, Lady Kay comes out to play... records! Quill is in Lampoc and poor Theo is car-less in Sacramento. It's Friday the 13th and I should have eaten more. I was actually shaking from low blood sugar and trying not to scratch the vinyl I was cueing throughout the show. I think during one of my last back-wraps I even started talking about the songs like they were flavors; sweet and savory, buttery french tunes or something. Somebody get me some apple juice and a giant Nation's grilled cheese!

Stream while you eat.

I'd like to point out that while my show page from two weeks ago has a photo of English singer Julie Driscoll on it I completely forgot to play her cover of Donovan's "Season Of The Witch." (Thank you again, Lady, for forgetting to feed yourself properly.) Well, I managed to slip it in the second set of the show this evening and found the original 60s-produced music video to share here. The set design is super simple in concept but just as far-out and (datedly) cool and colorful. And that fur coat! It puts Penny Lane's to shame (Sean are you reading this?! I have to count on another Almost Famous band-aid to understand these layered movie references!) Watch the first minute or two and see what I mean:
